America’s 1st Freedom | Armed Texan Proves Gun-Banners Wrong …

Demanding Moms head Shannon Watts has been proven wrong once again.

I’ve mentioned before in this column how Watts, head of Bloomberg’s astroturf advocacy group Moms Demand Action, has consistently bashed NRA EVP Wayne LaPierre’s statement that “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” Watts has even gone so far as to say, “This has never happened. Data shows it doesn’t happen.”

Luckily, a Texas concealed-carry permit holder didn’t listen to Watts and leave his gun at home when he went out to eat last Wednesday evening. Instead, he stopped what might have ended up being a grisly mass murder scene.

Here’s the story.

Last Wednesday night about 6:15, 48-year-old James Jones walked into Arlington sports bar/restaurant Zona Caliente and began yelling incoherently, then approached the manager and shot him to death. An armed man who was eating at the restaurant with his

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- On The Air With Mark Walters and Armed American Radio

I’m well aware that when it comes to talking about what’s being heard on Armed American Radio, that I’m a biased source of information. As the host of the show, that should come as no surprise. However, it’s true! Take the 4-2-2017 “MonsterCast,” for example. Guests included Alan Gottlieb in his regular segment (as regular as they can be depending on individual schedules), moving quickly with me through a myriad of topics.

We tackled the growing concern within the pro-rights movement about a slowdown in funding from individual donors since the Trump victory. It’s dire for some, and we singled out the Crime Prevention Research Center

“Self-defense:” 3 masked, armed home invaders killed by homeowner in Oklahoma

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma — Three teens dressed in black and wearing masks and gloves were killed by a resident when they broke into a home, Oklahoma authorities said Monday, March 27th.

The 23-year-old son of the homeowner fired shots from a rifle; officials said. One suspect had a knife, another carried brass knuckles.

“Preliminary investigation looks like it’s self-defense,” said Wagoner County Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Mahoney, cautioning the investigation was continuing into the midday home invasion.

The shooter voluntarily spoke with investigators. Neither he nor his father were hurt.

A 21-year-old woman turned herself into Broken Arrow police and may have been a getaway driver, Mahoney said.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., the apparent burglars broke through a door in the back of the home outside Broken Arrow, a Tulsa suburb. The young man, who was there with his father, encountered them.

“There was a short exchange of words, then gunfire happened,” Mahoney told reporters.

A couple running a business out of their Athens-area residence in Texas successfully took down a pair of armed home intruders Sunday, bestowing them each with Darwin Awards.

Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said the incident happened Sunday afternoon on Hopson Drive.

“It was a home invasion and attempted robbery that went very bad,” Hillhouse said.

The sheriff described the incident Monday, saying that a man and a woman were home at the time of the incident.

The two own a home-based company and Hillhouse said the suspects showed up, initially acting as if they were potential customers looking to purchase a dog. The couple was physically restrained by the two, Hillhouse said, and suffered minor injuries during the home invasion. Following an altercation, the two men were shot and killed.

Hillhouse confirmed that the two suspects, later identified as Steven Kelley,

Illegally Armed Criminal Encounters on the Rise in Eureka, Says EPD; Project SAFE, Gun Buy-Back Program Announced

Humboldt County law enforcement officers are increasingly encountering criminals who are

illegally armed and carrying loaded firearms. What was once a relatively infrequent occurrence

has now become dangerously routine. EPD officers are seizing unprecedented numbers of

guns from the hands of hardened felons.

Since 2014, 206 firearms have been reported stolen within the City of Eureka, including 9 this

year so far. This figure does not include the likely numerous gun thefts that went unreported for

various reasons.

In 2016, EPD officers seized approximately 95 guns as evidence and another approximately

25 were collected as found property or taken for safekeeping. In the first two months of 2017,

EPD officers have seized approximately 25 firearms including a fully automatic assault rifle and

4 other assault-type weapons. This is where Project S.A.F.E Eureka aims to help.

Project S.A.F.E. Eureka is a collaborative effort between the Eureka Police Department and

our community partners to increase the safety of Eureka’s neighborhoods by enhancing

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Two men have been arrested and an alleged accomplice is dead following an armed robbery in Miami.

Was security guard in "Pokemon Go" killing allowed to be armed? Depends on whom you ask. – Virginian

CHESAPEAKE

Despite the many details that have emerged since 60-year-old Jiansheng Chen was shot and killed by a security guard last month, one remains unclear.

Was the guard allowed to carry a gun that night, or not?

Representatives for the River Walk Community Association and the Chesapeake-based company hired to patrol the River Walk neighborhood – where Chen’s family say he was shot while playing “Pokemon Go” – tell different stories.

The association says its contract called specifically for unarmed guards, while the company says it allowed for guns.

Both repeatedly declined to provide a copy to The Pilot.

Johnathan Cromwell of Virginia Beach has been charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the Jan. 26 killing. His attorney, Emily Munn, said in an email she had not seen the contract but her client “absolutely believed he was allowed to carry a weapon as part of his employment.”

Since November, Cromwell has worked for

Concealed Handgun Owner Shoots Armed Robber

A man with a concealed handgun shot an armed robber who killed a good Samaritan during a confrontation at a San Antonio mall on Sunday, reports the Austin American-Statesman.

The man killed was 42-year-old Jonathan Murphy, who was unarmed but tried to stop two robbers outside of a jewelry store. The man with the concealed weapon saw the shooting and fired at one of the robbers, wounding him. His name was not released. Neither were the names of the robbers.

“It was obvious it was a very dangerous situation and that lives were being threatened and (the two robbers) were armed with weapons and … the good Samaritan with the (concealed handgun) license could have been injured as well,” said Doug Greene, a San Antonio police spokesman. “We just ask people to use their best judgment when they get into situations like this.”

Murphy was at the jewelry store with his wife when
