Three intruders killed after Broken Arrow home invasion, deputies say

BROKEN ARROW — Three people were killed Monday in Broken Arrow after a home invasion.

The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the triple homicide in the 9100 block of South Clearview Drive.

Wagoner County deputies said at about 12:30 p.m., three masked intruders entered the home, which was occupied by a father his 23-year-old son.

Deputies said the son shot and killed the three intruders with an AR-15. Police said two of the intruders were juveniles and another was an adult.

The father and son were unharmed.

“This is not something that happens frequently here,” said Wagoner County Sheriff Deputy Nick Mahoney. “We don’t generally have triple shootings inside Wagoner County. This is a very nice neighborhood and the neighbors have all been concerned. It’s not something that happens.”

Deputies are investigating how the men arrived at the home.

Sheriff deputies said the preliminary investigation shows that the shooting was an act of self defense. After searching

Family member calls woman who killed mom ‘an animal’

FORT MITCHELL, Ky. — The Independence woman convicted of murdering her mother had hurt her mother in the past, but the mother never pressed charges, according to the killer’s sisters.

Lara Conley was sentenced to 27 years in prison Thursday for killing her mother, Carlene. Police said Carlene Conley was found dead from more than 70 stab wounds in their home March 15, 2015.

Ann Gorman, one of Conley’s sisters, said Conley lived with their mother.

“My sister was erratic, but my mother was never a violent person,” Gorman said. “She would never lay a hand on my sister, so some of the things that they were saying were a little hurtful, and we want our mom to be remembered as the great, loving woman that she was.”

Prosecutors said Conley was the one who stabbed her mother dozens of times. Conley had initially reported the incident as a home invasion, but Read more at: http://www.wcpo.com/news/crime/family-member-calls-woman-who-killed-mom-an-animal

DETROIT – A man was shot and killed Tuesday morning by his ex-girlfriend’s brother when he broke into her home, police said.

According to police, the 21-year-old man was armed when he kicked in the door of his 31-year-old ex-girlfriend’s apartment at 8:10 a.m. in the 3900 block of Wabash Street on Detroit’s west side.

Her 32-year-old brother shot the man multiple times in the chest, killing him, police said.

Holding Out For Hope May Get You Killed ~ Self Defense VIDEOS

Gun Talk Radio Tom Gresham

USA – -(Ammoland.com)-  Waiting for someone else to help can get you hurt … or killed.

Would you believe a two-hour police response to a home invasion? You can find the story (video above) about how that happened here.

Sure, something got screwed up with the police, and they usually do a much better job, but the point is that it’s just foolish to depend upon others for your safety.

I recently read a training article from a career cop which may help get your mind in the right place. Chelley Seibert, a former Officer of the Year, was quoted in the Force Science Institute newsletter (highly recommended). This part paints the picture of just how evil some people are, and may help you recalibrate your idea

“Good Samaritan” is Killed While Shielding Wife

He’s called a “first rate protector” and Sunday, Jonathan Murphy lost his life as he tried to protect his wife and others around him during a jewelry heist at Rolling Oaks Mall.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of the man described by police as a Good Samaritan.

The 42-year-old employee at World Car Hyundai and his wife, Aimee, were getting their wedding rings cleaned Sunday at Kay Jewelers when a couple of thieves smashed a jewelry case. One of the men was waving a gun.

Aimee Murphy told the Houston Chronicle she froze, but Jonathan immediately shielded her.

“The next thing I know, he was falling to the ground,” she told the Houston Chronicle.

His heroic actions Sunday didn’t surprise those who knew him well. The GoFundMe page states he recently sprang into action when someone tried to break into his home while his family was there.
