Editorial: Texas mom doesn’t mince words with man who broke in (5 …

A McKinney, Texas, woman is being blasted on social media for her post, warning a young burglar that he risked being shot should he break into her familys home again.

After she encountered a young masked man in her home, and he ran off, Maria Luce posted a photo of herself and a shotgun on Facebook.

Im not sure if you know what this is, but I am locked and loaded, the caption read.

Luce is no stranger to home invasion. Shes a former reporter and news anchor who reported on many home invasions during her career.

Shes also a speaker and owner of The empowered Mom business.

But that probably didnt matter during the encounter last Thursday, when she was more worried about the safety of her 12-year-old twins upstairs during the break-in.

Luce thinks the burglar may have been after the high-dollar Yeezys tennis shoes her 14-year-old son posted on social media only a

Good Samaritan Stops Gunman at Texas Bar

ARLINGTON, Texas — A concealed carry holder is being heralded as a hero by Arlington police for preventing mass murder by killing an “incoherent” gunman at a sports bar Wednesday evening.

Before he was shot about 6:15 p.m., the gunman killed the manager of Zona Caliente in the 6500 block of South Cooper Street, police spokesman Christopher Cook said.

Police later identified the gunman as 48-year-old James Jones of Grand Prairie and the victim as 37-year-old Cesar Perez of Duncanville. The man who killed Jones has not been identified.

Authorities later found two loaded guns and two knives on Jones, Cook said Thursday.

“We do believe he had the capacity to do much greater harm,” Cook said.

When Jones entered the business, some witnesses told police, he started yelling incoherently while standing at the bar.

“People didn’t know who he was yelling at,” Cook said.

Perez was trying to talk to Jones when he was fatally shot. Police do not believe they

Good Samaritan foils Texas thief’s plan to steal woman’s purse

A Good Samaritan chased down a man who targeted a handicapped great-grandmother in a grocery store parking lot and tried to steal her purse.

Farmers Branch, Texas police say a man seen on surveillance video outside the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Josey Lane zeroed in on an 81-year-old woman loading her groceries and stole her purse.

POLICE: MAN TOLD PASTOR HE CAUSED MOTHER’S FATAL OVERDOSE

The Good Samaritan was able to chase the thief and retrieve the purse back, but the suspect managed to get away.

The grocery store was a routine stop in a familiar place for Peggy and did not expect what happened to her last Thursday night.

“As I got the trunk opened, I reached back to get my groceries. And that’s when the man appeared right there, grabbed my purse and ran across the parking lot,” she recalled “I was hollering real loud, as loud as I could. I
